The ROOF is ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

<

Pete got cranky with doing stuff here all the time after work, so we paid some guys to do the roof for us.
And it was done in 3 days. We rang them on Sunday - they started Monday and Finished Wednesday. WE rang them at the right time. If it'd been a few days later, we would have been waiting till at least end of Jan. SO it was GREAT timing.
And I priced my kitchen ...... mmmm need to sell a lot of knits and wool to be able to afford that beauty. Back to the drawing board :(

Here are the some of the latest dyes from my pot

where we got up to on the weekend and view photos

Here's where the house got up to over the weekend, and the views from each of the 2nd storey windows. We could have had a GREAT view from our bedroom window, but needed to put the window in another spot to balance the look of the house from the front.

Going GREY!!!!

I have submitted my job application - talk about a nerve racking experience - I have only ever applied for 2 jobs before and they weren't as bad as this.

But I have discovered a DIRTY GREAT BIG PATCH of grey hair - now i am off to the shops to get me a bottle of colour. Tooo young to be grey just yet

job application all but done

Okay, it's nearly done. Not sure how good it is, but here's hoping its good enough to get me the job.

I got the info package and it's an entry level position so room for improvement with salary - even as a permanent part timer. I just hope that they don't say I am over qualified - soo what they get someone who's better for less $$$ and I get better hours. Well that's my thinking anyways

dyeing and going to heaven

I have been on a dyeing roll lately.

Here is some of the stuff. A few things have balls of cotton to go with them, cause I am making co-ordinating tops to go with them

So much wool and soo little time to knit - hell i should be doing it now huh??

Its beginning to look like a house OMG!!!

Okay photos.

These are a series over a few days and you can see the house taking shape - yeah yeah yeah - but still a LONG ways to go

And I have included a photo of what they back of the house where this extension is going. You can see what a major mess we were in and the dire need for more room.

Oh and photos are EVERYWHERE :)

OMG - it looks like a house now!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay - I have a roof over the first storey part of the house and it is beginning to look like a real complete house.

The verandah is HUGE and we have been sitting out there HEAPS and dinner out there is really relaxing. But it is a bit too hot to be out there in the early afternoon, cause it is western facing and gets all of the sun.

I'll post up piccies later of how it is coming along.

But this was the state a few weeks ago

well a while ago now - I don't think I have taken in between photos - how stupid of me :(

Anyhoo - I'll have some more tonight of the view that the 2nd storey level will have - we can see almost all of Wagga from up there :)

Oh Kid - stop whinging for ten minutes

Oh I am stuffed. H has not stopped whinging all day. I have managed to do the waistband on one pair of pants for my swap with Donna.

Other than that - I have done not much today. I dyed some wool yesterday - I did Lesley's wool in pastel purple, turquiose, and fuschia on BFL. And two kettle dyes - one lot for the two boys which is merino - i did that in turquoise, primary blue, navy and black and purple. It's okay but I got white bits in it. It kinda blends in with the colours anyway. They are having matching shorties and the cotton tops from the cotton I ordered the other day.

The other one is a kettle dye with blue and red - its very ordinary in the skein, but will be interesting balled and knitted. I think it would be okay - a bit like H's soaker I did in splodge dye
And here it is

That was before B was born

I bought more Yarn

Okay I know i have heaps,

But I bought more yarn - but cotton yarn this time. I am not selling anything for a few weeks, i need to make my boys some stuff and clear out all of the swaps I have arranged.

So I am making a pair of shorties and a cotton tank top (debbie bliss pattern) for both my boys and Lesley's Katherine (she has made me soo much stuff lately - i should be making her like 40 of these). I also have a pair of shorties to make for Donna of bits for bots as a swap for some applique ts.

So i need to get dying and knitting. I know the colour of lesley's shorties but need to decide what I am going to do for my boys. They will be matching with a "maritime" blue tank top each. Not sure if I will make the shorties BFL or 4bags merino

Any ideas girls>?????

Oh Bah Humbug!!!

Just how I am feeling a bit BAH!!!

Anyhooo just a blog to let my knitty friends know what its on the needles and stuff. Unlike Sam, this is not a soaker free zone - cause that's about all I make these days :) I don't think I have made anything non nappy related in about 2 yrs - very very very sad.
